Yes it was a good title, very drawn in by it, i hope. Well what i wanted to say was one important point. A lot of people on webmaster sites, are trying to sell related products with affiliate programs. The truth is you will make a few sales, but nothing really big. You need to sell essential products, that everyone needs, as i do with health products. Here is an example : For my webmaster blog, people are originally visiting for the webmaster advice. But when they are searching the blog and see health adds, would they be inclined to follow the adds? And the answer is yes. But why is that? Well everyone needs health products. And the visitor may be there for the webmaster advice but secondary reasons, with essential products comes into play. E.G reading the add and not thinking about being a webmaster, but thinking my wife or girl friend needs that. A lot of the time, untargeted traffic will buy essential products. So conclusion : Sell essential products. Even with untargeted traffic you will make a lot. Also if you want me to hook you up with selling such products, just pm me and i will give you a link. Beginners welcome.
Great point. It amazes me how many people get into internet marketing and just want to try and sell more internet marketing stuff to other (new) internet marketers. Less than 10% of my income comes from that sort of stuff. I definitely agree with you that the big money is in selling products to "regular" people. The whole internet marketing ... market.. is completely over saturated. Because every IM is in it in some way or another it seems. Hell here I am preaching against it and even I have an internet marketing blog. But for me that's just a side project/diary thing. It's not a big focus for me.
what do you think of just plain traffic? the issue is i have tons of traffic(exit and clicks on images) that use to have really nice profits but recently(6+ months) profit margins aren't the same.. i can easily send 10k visitors per day anywhere but i want a fast, easy or maybe even free product to offer.. and of course i need to get my profit margins back up again... what would you suggest?
