Hello people This is a thread that is specifically for music, because that is what I love writing. I am a musician and I love writing about music, so this thread is dedicated to all the music fanatics out there, who are looking for content. IN RAINBOWS: A REVIEW The latest Radiohead album, "In Rainbows", has set the music industry revolution afire with their first ever-confident idea of letting their whole album out on web. The test-taste of the fans, by letting them choose, the worth they would dig for the album has been simply too alluring and fetching for realistic marketing. But this move had only created a ripple in the newly invented music market, a step that would not just make its 15 but much greater pace in the ever-changing music market. Since then we have had so many other bands like Coldplay and then Radiohead's mentor, R.E.M themselves, following suite to make their approaching stride felt with a generous outpouring of the whole album made available free through the net first! "In Rainbows" is thus a historically significant album remodeling a new era of music generation, creating a nova revolution. The sucking up factor to the big corporate houses and compromising on creative as well as individual selves is something Thom Yorke had often talked about with his meditative reflection on this issue. This was particularly apprehended in the album previous to "In Rainbows", "Hail to the Thief" where he had crooned, '? and am sorry for us, for the dinosaurs roam the earth". However the thieves have really been won over as a new wave in the history of music springs forth, ending the concept of piracy and making a really individualistic status of what true love for music can really end up with. Thom had spoken in many interviews about his driving concern with the entire aimless attack on music piracy when music has to be made cheaply available to the masses, to spread the messages. After all downloading from the internet might not drive the everyday guy to seek for quality since he is not in a paid-concert! This simple concept went on to create ripples and make this cutting edge album. However here is also the catch! Thom agrees in an interview that most of the songs of the album are on seduction or are plain seduction songs. So no wonder Radiohead is now at a ripe time of their colossal and famed career where they can set the traps, and any trap at all, for the seduction of their fans. After all there have been conflicting opinions on how they have been totally put on a rut, being overrun by their own concepts and still those among the fans who would find the album a very fine piece of art with the ideal of recreating an entirely new culture of music marketing. The seduction is thus for love and pays beyond because it is dexterously implemented! As all seductions need to be led by a dandy who is way cool with the outlandish nature he enjoys among his peers, Radiohead confirms the fact that with cracking the market strategy successfully and in an uber cool way, they have got no peers but only followers! W:O:A FESTIVAL – LOOKING BACK……… THE FINAL DESINATION FOR HEADBANGERS AROUND THE WORLD!!! For all the pilgrims baptized in the fire of heavy metal, the altars of worship have been going through a number of changes over the decades since the late 60s; when Black Sabbath decided to push the parameters of blues oriented hard rock sound towards a more dark and sinister destination. The major venues for metal concerts included Wembley Stadium, Hammersmith Odeon (U.K.), Budokan (Japan), Madison Square Garden (U.S.A.) and Maracana Stadium (Brazil). It was however, in the late 90s that WACKEN OPEN AIR festival emerged as the Big Daddy of all events. This event, held in the town of Wacken in Scleswig-Holstein in Northern Germany originally started in 1990 as a small festival promoting local German bands. However, with the steadily increasing number of visitors attracted not only towards the music, but the location, climate and booze; Wacken made its presence known in the yearly planner of Metal Fests across the globe. After a moderately humble beginning, the third year, 1992, saw major acts like Blind Guardian and Saxon included in the billing. The following years witnessed the event unfold in an even larger way with Fates Warning, Holocaust, Gamma Ray, Uriah Heep, Angra, Grave Digger, Motorhead, Overkill, U.D.O. being part of the event. But the Big Bang came in ’98, when this festival running for three days recorded a footfall count of 72,000 and saw more than 70 bands all over from Europe, America and Australia performing live. It can be said, without exaggerating that there’s been no looking back. It has been unofficially declared by musicians, fans, technical personnel and critics that Wacken is THE metal fest! Over the past decade, the acts in the Official Wacken Billing include Slayer, Testament, Children Of Bodom, Metal Church, Grim Reaper, Tygers Of Pan Tang, Nightwish, MSG, Scorpions, Europe, Blitzkrieg, Antrax, Venom, Bruce Dickinson, Exodus, Destruction, After Forever, Arch Enemy and Dio to name a few. The recently completed WACKEN 2007 which was held from August 2 to August 4 of this year was no exception in terms of real mean sounding heavy music, the North German sunshine and the true smell of German Beer engulfing the entire space. The major acts this year included Amorphis, Lacuna Coil, Blind Guardian, Enslaved, Dimmu Borgir, Type O Negative, Sodom, Napalm Death, Norther, Saxon, In Flames, Rage, Iced Earth, Stratovarius, Cannibal Corpse and Overkill among 75 odd bands. Though there were some problems during the preparation period about the camping and parking facilities because of the disastrous weather conditions; however the festival came out in flying colors: Alive n Kicking !!! Now that the preparations for the coming year are already on the roll, metalheads around the world are looking forward to another Gala Metal Party……Harder, Faster and LOUDER!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is what i do best and i am charging 2$ per 100 words. Regards, Bobby. PS- if you have any other writing requests, do get back to me in PM. This thread is strictly dedicated to music.
I think you should start a blog and write about music there. I see you have a lot of content for offer... then get your blog up and running so more people can read/subscribe to it. Although I think in this section of DP people are looking for jobs and stuff...
Definitely. If you have not began writing for yourself yet you should be. ESPECIALLY if it is about something that you are passionate about. Not only does it provide you with a great portfolio to showcase your talent but you have the capability of making money on your own while doing something that you love.
Hmm....i had given that a thought, but i thought maintaining a blog of my own would be a lot of work, but somehow, i am somewhat convinced. So, i might get to getting a blog on my own!!!!! However, at this moment, if you want something written about music, you know where you will find me....right here!!!!!!!
I have found just one guy, who has got back to me via Pm and that is very discerning. Looking for more people to work with.
