The googlebot scanned my page, but only got half of it: http://72.14.253.104/search?q=cache...n.com/+tawny+kitaen&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=24&gl=us my site: www.tawny-kitaen.com Why would google only scan half of my page? Is there something that I did which messed it up? I took a large portion of my content and posted it onto the Tawny Kitaen Wikipedia entry... That is now #1, not my site. I'm wondering if that had anything to do with it? Does google scan for a similarity to wikipedia sites? My traffic has dropped from 400+ per day to about 150 per day.
i think it will correct it on the next crawl. just relax , you must wait for the next googlebot crawl
The Googlebot definitely could be seeing your site as a duplicate, in part, to the wiki entry. That could be part of your problem. Or, as trichnosis said, it could all be fixed soon. Do you really gain anything with that content on wikipedia?
I contributed much of the content for the Tawny Kitaen entry, but I also put a link to my fansite on the bottom. It gets me 50 hits a day or so I'd estimate.
Even I am quite surprized the way google update is going on. Most of my new websites show PR0 instead of "No PageRank Information Available"... I just hope its for a few days!
