The people who works on a project of mine told me that is not much to do there for a classifieds website. Is that true? What should I do? Please give me your opinions. Thanks.
If you're talking about link building, the best place to start would be to analyse the links of existing, established classifieds websites and see if you can pick up any of their links. You can pretty much do SEO for any type of site, but for some types of site it can be harder to get links than others.

Hello, You can still do SEO for your website even though it is a classified website. As well what SimpSEO means is to commence a link building plan. Go to other websites that are similar to yours and see who is linking to them. By this I mean see who has links to the website that is similar to yours on their page. You can use a tool to speed this process up. This will allow you to see how the person that is on top of the search engines now got there. I think of it sort of like reading a road map. You read it to see how somebody in the past got to the location you want to be at. Hope this helps, Nick
Actually I can see rankings in classified ads. A link is still a link and it depends on what classified ads you are promoting with. Since many classified ads post last only in days. You can choose the classified ads that send a warning that your post is going to expire soon (for example 30 days). I've tried one classified that sends me an email about my ad post and renew/update my ad post.

classified website still can use SEO. It is depend of what kind of keywords you use. i think you can build link with such as these keywords : free classified website, high pr classified website, your town classified website etc.
