I was offered 1000 backlinks -PLEASE HELP - This Is a Good Problem and I Need Advice!

Ok Check this out, I was given an offer to have over 1000 do-follow links from decent ranking, content related, websites all link back to me. I struck an affiliate deal with a company that hosts over 1000 websites. As part of the deal, they can update the links pages on all of these websites, and add a backlink to my website. I know that most of you are thinking that they would not be allowed to do this, but they have a contractual agreement with their customers that allows them to add links to their customers’ resources pages. ALL of the websites are in my industry, as the hosting company only provides prepackaged websites to customers in my industry... so far it's all good right??? But here are the two problems I think: 1) Won't getting 1000 links all in the same time frame cause Google to penalize me? Now, please take into account that my website has over 25,000 backlinks in Google and is PR6 with over 50,000 monthly visitors. 2) What if the anchor text is the same for all links on all 1000+ websites. Won't Google penalize my ranking for the keyword/phrase that is used since anchor text since normally anchor text varies? I had a friend who lost his ranking for a keyphrase becasue of over backlinking with it.

So, as you can see I have one of the best affiliate opportunities available to me, but I fear that it could destroy me if I am unaware of something. I am hoping that someone here has some masterful wisdom and advice to share with me. Please help!!!!

if you are already pr 6 and already have 2500 back links you should be more than fine getting those links.

you have an established site with 25k links already. 1k more links will not raise any suspision. however, 1k backlinks at the same time with same anchor text might raise a flag. if you can use 2-3 anchor text, then that would be the best course of action.

also, r u getting links form an automated script system where your affiliate partner add the link and they all get added to their client sites? find out whether they would be from different IPs or all from the same IP.

If you are still in doubt you can hedge your bets by getting some more backlinks with different anchor text through directories or other means

Sounds like you have a good thing. Why risk tainting it?

You already have a good enough site. Why do you want to risk it out ??

I would suggest go for a variety of anchor texts and that too only if all those site are not on one ip.

I wouldn't risk it either. Unless they can integrate the new links gradually, with a very wide range of anchor text.

Ask if that company can make a deal out of this in such a way that they will backlink to ur site in a period of one month and with 2-3 anchor texts.

You are getting a nice opportunity but I advice you to take links for different WebPages of your sites, not just one and with varying anchor text.

I would do what someone else suggested. Build them slowly with a range of Anchor text. I mean if you throw in 1k back links which are probably on the same IP ranges, why wouldn't you get caught if it raised a red flag? If suspicious flags are raised and someone at Google investigates, you're busted.. I would definitely not do it. Maybe about 35-50 at the most and I would be happy with that... If the offer was still there in 6 months.. I'd do another 50 maybe...

Google wouldnt find all the links at teh same tiem anyway, so i don think it would be anything to worry about, if someone releases a new kick ass site, its possible a site would get 1000s of links in 1 day anyway naturally from people who post the link on their blogs or site, so why would google penalise a site for that ? simple it wouldnt !

Don't do it man! You already have a great web presence and don't need to risk doing this to screw it up. Take the longer, safer, slower route in link building.
