I was looking for message board tips

I own stockhideout.com and was looking for SEO tips. I know most people here own a regular webpage so I was wondering if there are different tips for a message board site.

dont allow spammers... make some rules in posting... promote your site..
let everybody know that your site exist...

 

promote the site, I do articles back links and prs anything else?

 

always keep forum alive, update it with usefull info for members , increase domain PR.

 

we have a pr of 5 as of now and the forum is active, I guess just takes time, been up a year though, I ran a link checker and have about 6K backlinks I thought was good to boost me in the SE but guess not.

keep it active...
promote the site and let everyone know about it...
make rules and make sure the rules are agreeable to all...

just don't leave it alone...
