I must admit that you're very brave to make that decision of walking out on your job, but it's not the end, many people are earning a full-time income online, so I'm sure you can do it too!!

Marx Melencio here, also a warrior. Believe I could practically live off from such positivism and motivation each day. I've been totally blind for more than 6 years now because someone gunned me down twice (chest and head) last Nov 2003 (was 23 then), but I've been supporting my lovely 6-year old daughter, my beautiful wife, my 57-year old mother, my father's 2-year old dog, my daughter's 2-year old pet turtle, and providing gainful employment to my 22-year old sister and my 31-year old sister along with 73 others across the country (Philippines). I started out without any capital investment other than my own time and skills last Sept 2006. Back then, there were 4 of us working in my company. Barely 2 years thereafter: there were 140 of us. Last April, there were only 75 of us left (scars caused by the economic downturn). This year, my company will extensively hire and train 20-40 people each month onwards, with a 125% growth plan every 5 months. That makes it more than 3 years of Internet marketing experience and knowledge, but the results speak louder than those 3 years. Yeah, all while being totally blind and with 5% working olfactory senses. I'm happy ---> and dang proud of it! These posts make me remember a lot of things, bitter sweet waves of nostalgia. Thanks for sharing.
I would say it is good that UPS let you go at this time, since you can concentrate on internet marketing solely and work from where ever you wish full time. In your case you are financially covered for six months, as you said, with unemployment benefits also arriving. That sort of background financial cushioning you will need during the first few months of starting in this venture.
Don't loose your heart!!! Dp forums will help you to get more money than your previous job. Have a good day!!!
Welcome to DP with me its the other way around i recently became a warrior, you can never have enough exposure in cyberspace
Back at you brah! Keep at it! Wow, wonderful story. I'm sorry about how the economy has hurt you. Can I ask, were you actually shot? Didn't really want to say anything if you weren't, confused me. I'm glad you can see success and all and I really hope more for you, if you want to get to know more about me, go ahead and pm me Yep definitely. I have already hit my 2-3 month, and am seeing a huge future in my success. Thanks a ton for this post, I am glad i'm in such a great forum where people can help me with positive feedback. I also recently got my girlfriend into this, and wow... you won't believe what a great niche I got her Thanks so much. I see so much success in my future from forums like these. Haha, you will only become stronger by joining multiple forums. I am very active in every forum I join and you will see me around forums for sure just remember the face, you'll see it in the future, no doubt.
Its moments like those that sometimes are enough to push people to succeed in this industry. I wish you the best of luck and im looking forward to hearing about you in a few months :]
Glad to see your motivated and it seems like you have a pretty good grasp of what works as far as a system. As long as you keep that drive you will be successful. Good luck!
Yeah, but I know I'm wholly to blame for my business negatively affected by the economy. Should've kept improving everything: from groundwork plans to workflow implementation since I started with a "surviving" business model (no other resources except my own time and skills, so the business only needed to survive for my family and colleagues to also "survive"). Should've quickly converted the "surviving" business model into a "growing" one because I already earned resources to reinvest... ...but we all learn from our mistakes, because I now know this actually works for me: fail quick, learn fast, change much, grow more. Yeah, was intentionally shot twice by a complete stranger, blind drunk and drug-crazed, while me and my wife were buying food from a local neighborhood stall. .38 point blank... bang! ...ripped through my left chest, 2mm from the heart. ...another one, barely an inch from my temple... bang! ...tore through my head, 3mm from the midbrain, cinged the optic nerve and some olfactory nerves beyond repair, and damaged a portion of the brain hypothetically used for music appreciation (still play the bass though, so guess that probably debunks this theory)... ...didn't mean to be overly graphic, but that was how it went. Thanks. Best, Marx
Honestly, it's going to take one of those "Results not typical." stories for you to match your UPS salary by the time your 6 months savings runs out. On the plus side, you've got 16 hours a day now to make it work. Very few people around these forums are willing to truly accept the magnitude of work that goes into this. People think this is about leaving an 8 hour a day job working for someone to work for yourself in your underwear 2 hours a day. That is what boots them back through the revolving door of noobs.
A little contradicting don't you think? I'm happy to hear that you are doing good with internet marketing but it seems that you weren't laid off due to any economy. You just quit from a very high paying job! On the other hand, I agree with everything you said and I wish you a good luck with your new business! It will definitely grow!
