Great story! I also believe being honest is the ONLY way to go when dealing with any kind of business, weather its online or offline. If you cheat your customers and they find out, you will gradually lose business that you would have kept for just being honest.

you must be doing pretty good to have the gut quitting your day jobs.. from what you described .. it is more like quitting, resignation.. than being laid off... since you called your boss to do the firing.. yes.. i know that will qualify your for unemployment benefit.. but anyway.. best luck to you...

Wow so many responses, once I get a bit of time, i'm definitely going to respond to every one of you in a BIG post =D I thank you alll sooooo much for the honest feedback.

I am so happy I have left my job and I do have enough money to last me for quite a bit seeing that even tho I am the lease holder of my apartment, I only pay $150 for rent ;). Ahhh life rules.

    Good luck man.

I think quitting your job is one of the best things you can do when you want to succeed with IM as long as you're serious about it.

The way I look at it is this: if I don't make myself succeed at IM, I'm forced to either be broke or look for another job. And I never want to work for someone else again.

Too many people try and tell you NOT to quit your job until you're making more with IM than you are at your regular job but I think that too many people that work regular jobs are too "comfortable" and won't really give 110% at IM unless they are thrown into the water and forced to sink or swim.

Glad to hear you took the leap. I did the same a few months ago and couldn't be happier that I don't have to wake up and go work for someone elses business anymore.

    Best of luck man.

Good to hear someone is in the same position as me :) Just without unemployment, and was laid off 2 jobs. Hopefully everything works out good for you. If you ever need anything feel free to PM me.

    Hi everyone,

Thanks for sharing your story with us Justin!

I have a story also. Ten years ago I broke my neck in a car accident and had to have surgery. Since then I had to get two more surgeries. I have no movement in my neck and have to live my life with restrictions. I have been an Executive Assistant for the last 30 years of my life. I now am applying for Social Security Disability because no one will hire me with my disabilities and I do not qualify for Unemployment because I am disabled. Needless-to-say, I am not earning a penny.

I thank God for my husband who does have a full time job. He is a salesman and due to the economy, is not as successful as he was a year ago.

My husband and I have been struggling to make an online business for ourselves but have not been successful. Thanks to forums like this we are learning more everyday and hope to earn that first dollar soon.

    Any advice would be appreciated!

    Best regards,
    caroline10282

I would like to make a special reply to Caroline.

I am so sorry for your accident, hearing stories like your own is totally heartbreaking and I thank you for sharing. It is wonderful to be able to be so honest about something like that.

I really do believe that you and your husband can make money online, you just have to find what works best for you and stick with it. But remember, you don't want to have to write articles for people or fill out surveys to make money. You want to create something stable, something real. If you send me a message, i'll definitely try and shoot you in the right direction. I don't believe i'm allowed to state how I actually make money online.

I hope the best for you Caroline. Again, thank you!

    Good luck ;)

And to all the other responses, you guys rock!

Great to hear a postive story, especially with so much bad news around at the moment. I think you have got it spot on - there's no such thing as easy money, but hard honest work is always rewarded with success. I wish you all the best with your new adventure, I hope you will post a progress update in the next couple of months?

Oh I will, I have received so much hype from people telling me that it was such a good thing that I left, there is no doubt in my mind that I will post how far I have come in the following months :) Thank you Lofty.
