I was laid off. But...

    Hi everyone.

    My name is Justin Lewis.

I am a very active member of the warrior forum and have only been there for 1 month and decided to come to digital point to share my stories.

    So heres my story

About 4 weeks ago, I was (partially) laid off from my job working for the company known as UPS (United Parcel Service). Working for UPS, I was a dockworker, driving forklifts around all night. The job was rough and I was always scheduled anywhere from 10pm-10am or 2am-11am.

It was a very high paying job. But honestly, I hated it. So yesterday, I ended up calling my boss and told him to go ahead and fully lay me off.

However dumb this may be, I have 6 months of savings, as well as tax money coming back, and unemployment starting next week.

Having said all of this, I have been working with internet marketing as a side gig for the past 4 months and have actually had some nice success from this wonderful world.

I ultimately believe that being an honest person working online is the way to go, don't try and cheat your way to the top. Thanks to this observation, I have found that I am profiting in many different ways more and more every week. It's not an extremely fast process, but it is success none the less.

So guys, I really hope you liked reading my story of how I was laid off due to the economy, I really don't want to go to much further in depth with it because I am over the job.

I'm going to be successful, I know it. And thanks to wonderful forums like these, i'll be even more successful =D

Thanks a lot guys/gals for having me here at Digital Point!

If you work as hard at internet marketing as they make you work at UPS you'll be fine... if you're a member of the Warrior Forum you probably already know that though.

I've been full time for several years and work at least 65 hours a week at it and make a very nice living.

    Fellow Warrior on board here!

Glad to see you here. Sorry about the bad news. UPS, too - man!

Maybe this is a further signal as to how more and more things are going digital. I know I'm a total instant download junkie.

I used to order books from Amazon and Half.com - but, now... just push a couple of buttons and voila!

If there are a lot of people like me, this has to have hurt the parcel delivery services a little bit.

Good luck! I just sent you a friend request - don't know how that works here... I've been a member here for almost a year. It's taken me a long time to get comfortable for some reason. That's another reason I'm glad to see you and the others here.

    - Angela

I can relate as well since I kinda got laid off/quit back in August 2009.

The thing is you need to actually have this "fear" of no going back to actually follow your bliss and go after whatever you like :). Like many of us, u've chosen the internet :D

Good luck to u! Know that you did the right thing!

    Hey Justin,

Being let go by UPS is a blessing in disguise. Work hard, work smart, and just KNOW you will succeed.
You only fail once you quit so look straight ahead and never look back. If you need some help or questions
answered along the way, shoot me a PM. (Fellow Warrior Here ;) )
