If you are wondering what script to use I would use phpld. They have both a free and paid version, both of which are very good. For a text editor I use notepad what I think almost everyone uses.

phpld is pretty good for the most part, I havent really experimented with many others. I would like to find one that has a free deeplink mod.

Well you must choose any editor in a wise manner, not some corrupt editor that will list any site he wants :p .

But if u were talking about script i would say search dp forums for various scripts users are using to suite ur needs.

You have got a quite confusing post ....

    1) If you mean script, go for phpLD
    2) If you mean software to edit files, try Notepad++ or "Macromedia Dreamweaver" (My fav)
    3) if you mean human editors ... read the post above by "paidhosting"

    Text editor: I use Notepad.

Script: PhpLD for ease of use; Indexscript, PhpLynx, or Snowblind Directory Script for a variety of different features.

Human editor: someone smart enough to be able to tell spam from ham. So, no children or dogs.
