And they said they wanted to advertise on my blog. It isnt even a year old yet and my traffic numbers are certainly not stellar by any means. Average is a bit over 100 visitors per day. Anyway, they used my contact page and said they would pay me $30 per ad to run a small text ad on 4 seperate articles. Not sidebar ads or banners, just a small text ad after specific articles. I googled the email address of the person that contacted me and found a number of other people had also been contacted and made the same offer. They said they would prefer the ads to be left on the article forever but would settle for 1 year. That same thing was mentioned by a couple of other people. They said they would send the payment to my PayPal account so I figured what the hell and put the ads in. There was a problem with one of the ads as they wanted it in a category rather than a specific article and thats not possible. They sent payment to me before I had even got the last ad placed in another article they decided on. $120 for 4 ads for 1 year. Ill do that all day long, lol. I asked how they picked the articles and they said it was contextual by words in the articles. They also asked if I had any other sites they could look at. All of the articles were ones that had gotten significant hits but nowhere near the most popular articles. I offered to put a free sidebar banner on my blog for them and they said no, that wouldnt be necessary. Has anyone else had anything like this happen?
Nope, lol I find it abit weird you offering a free ad placement when you could have contextual ads or an affiliate there. But I find it even weirder that they turned it down!
If I could post links Id show you the ads. Theyre all to different places. One is for houses in Colorado. Another is for singles in Tehran looking for other singles. I am not making this up, lol. Another was for cheap DVD players. They dont seem to have a specific website they sell stuff from. Its like they just advertise for other companies.
Thanks. I hadnt really planned on running ads till my numbers were better. But if people want to throw money at me this way, sure, Ill take it!
yeah. sure can't turn it down. Looks like they've probably hired people to go scoop up relevant pages and purchase ads.

That's a lucky you. It would be very god if somebody contact me to put ads on my site directly like this. All of the ads/links on my sites, I seek for the advertisers myself. Nice job you have a money making blog. ^^
