Hi, I was banned from Adsense program for invalid clicks way back in 2007-2008. I concede I was at fault because I have clicked on the ads on my own site. I had requested them to reinstate my account but they did not. Now it is 2024 (over 15 years since that happened). I am thinking of creating a Youtube channel and try my luck in generating some income on the side through adsense. Do I have any chance of getting reinstated for the Youtube Adsense program? I don't want to go through the trouble of starting a Youtube channel only to find that I am still banned by Google Adsense.
According to their terms and conditions, bans are forever. You could try a different google account, email etc, but if that works and they eventually link that new account to the terminated one, then it will be terminated too.
Your lawyer may be able to apply to Google for a review of your account and use the last 15 years as evidence of your character and trustworthiness. Include charity work, volunteering etc. However there is no formal appeal process and it's why the advice is to be very careful with your business reputation.
10K monthly views will roughly make you 60-100 bucks. Some niches will pay slightly more, some less. It's not worth the effort, if you ask me. Most people will never see 10K in monthly views, unfortunately. While having your Adsense account reinstated is important, how popular do you think your channel will be? Sounds like you're not even interested in whatever channel/topic it might be.
Hi, It’s great that you’re thinking about starting a YouTube channel! However, since you were banned from AdSense in the past, it might be tricky to get reinstated, as Google tends to be very strict with their policies, especially regarding invalid clicks. That said, policies and processes have evolved over time, and it's been quite a while since your initial ban. Your best bet is to reach out directly to Google’s AdSense support or YouTube Partner Program support to ask about your eligibility. Be transparent about the past issue and inquire whether you can create a new AdSense account for YouTube or have your previous ban reviewed for potential reinstatement. It's definitely better to get confirmation from them first before putting in a lot of effort into building your channel. If reinstatement is not possible, you can explore alternative monetization strategies, such as affiliate marketing, sponsorships, or using platforms like Patreon. Wishing you the best of luck with your channel!
It’s best to reach out to Google support for clarity on your specific situation. Starting a YouTube channel could still be worthwhile, as it could open new opportunities, but make sure you're fully aware of any restrictions that may still apply to your account.
There are Google Experts that connect with you on video calls and support you. Create a new AdSense account with new email address and the connect with the Google expert. I am sure you will get help for this.
Since your AdSense ban was over 15 years ago, you may have a chance to get reinstated for YouTube AdSense, but it’s uncertain. Google is strict about previous bans, so using the same account might be risky. You could try applying with a different account or appealing directly to Google explaining your situation, but there's no guarantee of approval.
You can choose to appeal to Google, and there is a certain chance that your ads account will be restored.
It's not impossible, there is an appeal process (or there was when I did it). I was banned in 2007 for invalid clicks. Unbeknownst to me my kid-brother was clicking on my ads. I applied about 6 or 7 years ago and my account was reinstated. I can't exactly remember what I said in the appeal form though.
I don't understand the problem. Google just could ignore your clicks. It can happen to everyone, I accidentally clicked on my own ads a few times, and a few times I clicked on purpose because I was interested in the product I saw on the banner. But I never have got any ban. Why the site owner can't click on his own banner like any other person? Google is idiot.
Since your ban occurred over 15 years ago, there's a chance that the policy enforcement may not be as strict as it once was, especially considering how much time has passed. However, AdSense bans are typically permanent, and once an account is banned, reinstating it can be difficult.
As others have suggested above, reinstating the first account is almost impossible. I suggest you create a new account and apply after meeting YouTube's requirements. Forget about the first account.
Google is usually strict about lifetime bans, but since it’s been over 15 years, you might have a chance. You could try applying with a new account (different email) and see if you get approved. Some people have managed to get back in, but there’s no guarantee. Maybe reach out to YouTube support before starting to be sure!
