This is the email? Your AdSense account was found to be related to an account previously disabled for invalid click activity and we have therefore disabled your account. I was at 94.00 Could this be because I bought a site that was using adsense and that person was banned? What would happen if I signed up under my wifes name now...would I get banned? Thanks Jason
if your only connection to a previously banned account was because you purchased a site from someone that was banned, you should appeal and explain it to them.. If you just try to trick them and signup in your wife's name, they will just ban you again - this time with reason..
I am sorry to hear that, first you should contact G and let them know that you bought a banned account, be polite and sincere to G and you might have a change of reinstating your account. Good Luck
What's your website that you purchased (if you don't mind showing us it). The ads placed/ type of traffic they were getting in there probably broke TOS and the owner who sold it to you probably didn't tell you about it..
They did tell me they got banned from google for doing some sort of traffic scheme. But all that had stoped since I got it because he closed that account and my logs show only SE related traffic. So I did contact google and will be waiting for a reply. So if I use my wifes how would they ban my account? You can have different accounts in the same household I had read.
If you explain it to google probably you´ll get the positive result.. Hmmm How can we know that a site was banned or not??
It looks that way, doesn't it? i think the previus owner got banned and probably is the reason why he sold it. If I were you, I would explain this to the adsense team because you have a strong case. If you were banned for invalid clicks or something like that, it would be different matter altogether.
Once a domain has been banned, google says it should not have adsense on it for six months - even if it is sold to another person. As crazy as it sounds, google claims they do it to prevent the owner from doing a transfer of a "problem" domain to a friend or family member and creating a new adsense account. When asked how could you tell if a domain you purchased was banned? - they said to wait six months before putting adsense on it. I would certainly appeal the decision and give them as much documentation about the purchase as possible. I know of someone who appealed losing their adsense account because of a site they purchased and was still denied - although I'm not sure how much documentation they provided as to the purchase.
Lesson: don't buy sites that have been banned from AdSense. Buy a new domain and forward the traffic. One of my sites was banned because I had adsense on the adult section of my dmoz mirror. That mirror had been running for at least 2 years. Didn't really matter because I already in the process of moving all my content to a new domain. I dumped the DMOZ mirror and now forward all the traffic from the old domain to the new domain. Problem solved.
