I want to use my computer as a telephone set. I don't mean VOIP. can any one help

    I was looking for a software by which I can use my computer (through modem) as a telephone set to make calls as I do with my normal telephone set. I can't find any software. can any one help me?

    order a magicjack it works ok unless you are using a wireless connection and it is only about $20 per year.

    I think there's something like that somewhere on the internet. I think, what you are looking for is a software that you can use to dial a phone number. You need a d-link dial-up modem for it and the driver cd that comes with it includes the software you need.
