I have an ad banner at a partner site (www.xxx.com). I want to track how many of the visitors from that domain, subdomains included, that visit my conversion page (www.mypage.com/thankyou.html).

    How can I do that?

I would be very thankful for some help :)

do u need details of how many visitors landed on landing page rte ?
if yes then do tagging of your banner using below link

    http://www.google.com/support/googleanalytics/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=55578

    Campaign Source (utm_source)
Required. Use utm_source to identify a search engine, newsletter name, or other source.

    Example: utm_source=google

    Campaign Medium (utm_medium)
Required. Use utm_medium to identify a medium such as email or cost-per- click.

    Example: utm_medium=cpc

    Campaign Term (utm_term)
Used for paid search. Use utm_term to note the keywords for this ad.

    Example: utm_term=running+shoes

    Campaign Content (utm_content)
Used for A/B testing and content-targeted ads. Use utm_content to differentiate ads or links that point to the same URL.
    Examples: utm_content=logolink or utm_content=textlink

    Campaign Name (utm_campaign)
Used for keyword analysis. Use utm_campaign to identify a specific product promotion or strategic campaign.

    Example: utm_campaign=spring_sale

hope this will help you. if you need any help beyond this then let me know

    Thank you dipali!

I have set upp my goal with the URL builder and already get some results. But I am not sure if the tracking is correct. Our banner will appear on different pages on our partners site www.xxx.com/side1.html, www.xxx.com/side2.html etc.) and they all point to our thank-you page.

Do I need to set up different referrer pages or is it enough that the visitors come from the same domain? (www.xxx.com) Since the pages at my partners site are db-generated it would be quite impossible to track all different pages that our banner appears on.

I hope this explanation is good enough ;-)

It's good that it helps you. I guess your partner site is providing free page creation services (like blog) and your banner will appear on this rite? let me know if this works for you..

    1) you can set up different pages for relevant pages like if www.xxx.com/side1.html is about (seo) then if your banner is all about seo then it will be helpful for you to gain visitors and leads, with the help of url builder. due to this you can track how much leads or visitors you are gaining form banner and you can also conclude which is the most effective banner.

    2) in other case if you differentiate banner campaign details for page 1 and page 2 so on with the help of url builder. this will help you for analyzing which site page sending you traffic.

    Thank you again.:)

We only have one banner and it is displayed on different pages at our partners site such as:
    http://www.partner.com/group/29696/memberList
    http://www.partner.com/group/29696/almanac/month
    http://www.partner.com/group/27318/links

They all lead to the same page on our site.

But are all clicks from the domain www.partner.com counted?
Or do I need to refeer to all single pages (like those above).
That would be impossible cause there are hundreds of different pages...

do only this thing - tag your banner with utm tags and publish it on my partner.com and this banner campaign counted as other traffic sources (individual campaign) in google analytics. so you can able to count visitors or clicks has came referring from your partner site.

After login into google analytics go to the referring site link, then all the sites will come from where your site traffic comes, you can track from there.
