Hi, I really don't want any trouble with any music producers as my music niche is pretty specific so it's possible.

All i want to provide is a player on my site where people can listen to clips of songs, not even the full song how can i gain rights to this? Do I have to contact every musician individually and ask them, can I provide short clips without asking? These would be streaming clips no download option. Sorry for the noob question btw!!

    Many thanks in advance.

You would want to talk to the record companies and get their permission. I would guess you are going to have to pay for rights to do this, if they even give permission at all.

Hey, thanks for the reply I guess that's a pretty long process considering the amount of record companies? Is there no other way?

How about Online Radio Shows, or people that offer Podcasts do they do this also?

Streaming music still means you have to pay royalties...this is why many internet radio shows are being shut down.
