There's nowhere near enough information. Supermicro have dozens of different chassis varying in price from a couple of hundred to several thousand. Some only have internal drives, some take up to 72 drives, some had dual motherboards in a single server. Most servers are pretty useless without rails if you plan to locate them in a datacentre.

All I can from the specs you've asked about is that these are pretty low-end servers. The smallest dedicated server we offer has 24GB of RAM installed and go up to 768GB of ram - and we're only offering 1U servers.

You'll have to provide a lot more such as chassis type & motherboard info if you want an answer.

More important is, do you have the skillset to make it the best experience for your customers. And are you sure you can keep them safe?

That's right. You want to start services which need more things. Don't think you can start everything with a server. No, no!!!

From the looks of your post it doesnt look like you have got what it takes to start a dedicated server hosting service.

Are you looking for the minimal price to purchase the servers, such as hardware value? Or do you mean what can you get out of those units at a monthly rate if you already had them ready to be set up as dedicated servers?

you might consider a collocation option when you own the hardware and rent the rack space vs. renting everything

I would recommend starting off with one powerful quad-core server, and as your business evolves, you buy more. No sence in wasting money on unused hardware.

I would say that colocation will be your best bet once you get set up with your servers. Why don't you contact a few different vendors and get some hard and serious quotes? If you are really serious about moving forward then quotes from multiple sources will fare you far better than a forum post. I know some very educated and industry savvy industry experts patrol the forums but since you are the competition I don't see you getting the best answers from this type of source. Go to the most direct source for your best quotes and answers.
