I want to start blogging world. Wordpress or Blogger?

    Hi,

I want to try and start blogging. I would be more comfortable to try the free service from blog hosting WordPress, or Blogger.

Which one would you recommend, and why please?

The templates on WordPress seem to be cooler, but customization limited (not free). Yet its hard to find decent looking template for Blogspot(blogger).

If this is really your first time into the blogosphere, I would recommend you start out with Blogger. However, this will just be an experimental stage without any serious blogging.

Later (about 3 months), if you are comfortable with blogging, you can move on to your own host and start to use Wordpress.

Exactly. I am still new to blogging. and I do not know how to do like those sweet blogs. But there is something I am addicted to, and I can write about for sure. I will try Blogger's.

For long term, I suggest WP on your own domain. Many templates, plugins to choose from.

blogger then if it becomes a success just buy a domain, and trasfer it to a new host.
if you got bored, yo can just leave it as it is...

    I would say Wordpress...
Since you are new, it would not make much difference to whatever u choose... but later on when u have your own hosting, then definitely Wordpress is the best...
so why not start from the best from beginning itself... :)

Now I am confused, both parties got many fans and I am really new. Actually I already took a subdomain at wordpress and going to kick in the blogging world. The only thing is that I can't add simple adsense in the template as this requires upgrade. (Why? I'd rather get a paid host.. when I am going fine with it)

you should start by creating both blogger and wordpress account, and try to put up some good quality content. then you can see witch one suits better your stile. both are customizable and you can find hundred of free templates. important is that you decide witch one is easier to use for you.

WP works much better, from look, optimization and usability, everything! I'd recommend wordpress if monetization is not the basic purpose!

Please sign up with wordpress for better exposure of your blog. Initially try the free service. Then concentrate to get a paid hosting for the wordpress...

AdSense and PPC is not my main purpose. Nobody hates a small revenue besides sharing to the world what he loves to do. Here I love graphic design for example.

Ok, I am convinced now that WordPress is the better solution.
godsofchaos, thanks thats so kind of you.

I'm using both the wordpress and blogger for blogging. and what i feel is both are good. but i prefer the wordpress because ( it depends) the blogger is blocked in many offices( most of my readers are IT professionals ) so what i am doing is first i post it in my blogger and then i import those posts in my wordpress.

also i think the blogger posts are getting a good ranking than the wordpress ( in my case )
    you can check my blogs:

    blogger : http://technoparklive.blogspot.com
    wordpress : http://technoparkblog.wordpress.com
