I want to start an Internet Cafe Business, but how to install OS and Networking?

Hello!! Guys, I am planning to start a small internet cafe business. I just want to set it up myself, but since I am not a technician I want to know how to install Windows OS and how to do networking. If you have a tutorial their pls share it with me.. I really appreciate your help.. Thanks...

 

I am not a technician too, but I'll try to find, but do you have enough computers and etc for it? make sure it's decorated good and a good logo

 

Well, you don't need to install the OS.
The place from where you will buy it, there it will be done by them. And also they will do the networking thing.

You just need boot CD with Windows. Set your CD-ROM as primary boot device in BIOS. Then you don't need to do anything except pressing ENTER

 

you could read about it somewhere and learn it
or you could pay me a ticket to where ever you are and i'll set it up for you for free

or hire a kid who is computer freak to do it

but it could get hard for you as its the first time , you have to get a router and a switch , set the ips , main ip ..

 

Is anyone else scratching their head? You want to start an internet cafe but know nothing about computers?

lol, I know anything about computers, but since I am not a technician then I need at least tutorials oon how to do this stuff, then I can follow it..

Yea I don't think you should start a internet Cafe if you don't know simple tech stuff also it will just be a Constant Money Pit because most people have PC's or laptops and stuff will be damaged by idiots that don't care about your stuff..

 

Just find a contract maintenance company or AMC that does computer maintenance for annual fee. That way you will be able to concentrate on the day to day running of the bussinness rather than worry about hardware and software problems. Money can buy anything, you could even hire a network admin to help troubleshoot day to day software issues.

 

Get a genuine windows OS if you can afford to pay for the licenses.
Linux Ubuntu is free of cost. You can download it,burn to a cd and install it.

Installating OS in a PC is a very simple process. All you need to do is put the cd in, start the computer and follow the basic instructions displayed on the screen.
Also, install the softwares that come along with your motherboard cd.

Depends on where you are. Internet cafes are huge in asia.

As others pointed out, probably not a wise idea to do it. At the very least you need to teach yourself how to research and learn these things on your own.

I don't think you can make it.Since you don't know much on the server and network,you'd better purchase it.
It's a kind of necessary invest to your business.If you do it yourself,there will be potential security problem for
you.It'll be a big loss when it happend.If you do want to do it yourself,you should ask an competent guy to help
you.Daily maintenance is also very important.
