    A really good social site script is phpizabi! It is free and is loaded with stuff. I would try it out, just search it on google.

    I opened my social network 4 months ago. I now have little over 15,000 members. I have spend about $500 in advertising in 4 months.

    I would pay someone the $300 to put together your site using Drupal. It is a free software, but very powerful. Kind of like Wordpress put more powerful.

    exactly :) there are many options out there for free or cheap Social Network platforms...... you could easily set something simple up for under $300, although I would recommend getting a unique platform coded eventually.

    Do you know how to code at all or will you be paying for everything?
