I don't think you can since your 2th domain might have a less domain/page age, backlinks, etc. Its not only about the content that give you a decent ranking in Google, its more then that. What about switching the new website to the best domain?

You need to learn about domain redirection. Move to a new domain, and redirect the old one to the new blog. You cannot let your domain expire if it brings traffic.

Do not let the domain expire. The page rank and page position in Google are for and depends to domain as well as content of the site. If you move to a new domain, you will need to work again to get page rank and page position in Google that you want. Just as stated before my post, do not let you domain expire, and redirect all visitors to the new domain.

    Hope that helps
    Regards

use 301 redirect ("permanently moved") from old domain to new domain. if your old domain have any signifcant amount of backlinks, do not the old domain to expire or your new domain may loose rank

Redirect the new domain to the address of old one. Its pity to lose the traffic of new one
