No. Only modern browsers are capable of running on all platforms. IE9 is not a modern browser and has so many limitations, such as this, it renders almost unusable in the modern world.

thanks for the update... but there should be any way to run ie9 on windows xp. The HTML5 solution is very good in it.. no plug-in is required to run flash file or video..

IE9 uses Windows files that don't exist and cannot work on XP.
Wrong. You still need plugins to run flash. If you want to run video, you've been able to use any modern browser, anything but IE, for quite a while, and they all run on XP (Firefox, Chrome, Opera, Safari, etc.).

Did you go to the official Microsoft website and look in their downloads section?

It's IE9, not i-9. ::sheesh:: And IE9 does NOT work on XP as I've said twice now. If someone wants a modern browser that works everywhere, use Firefox or Chrome or Opera.

I think that The IE9.0 is not compatible with the windows XP Must be changed into the windows 7 or other good systems.

Instead of discovering new ways to run something on the platform its not designed for, why not look out for a better alternative?

Firefox, chrome, Opera all are free and supports win X.P, why not give them a shot...

Unfortunately IE9 can not be installed on WinXP.
This is because it uses the graphic card and the Windows Vista and Win7 characteristics to enhance the image processing and web surfing performance.
The Internet Explorer 9 requirements for installation is minimum Vista SP2 or Win7 RTM.

IE9 can't work on XP. Use another browser like firefox or Google chrome.

Internet Explorer 9 requires the modern graphics and security underpinnings. Windows XP lacks certain DirectX APIs that are found in Vista and Windows 7, but not in XP, even with the last service pack. So IE9 could not be run on XP.

But any modern browser (not IE) runs great and securely on XP and any other platform. Reason #3127 no one should use IE.
