I want to post categories with images on my WP front page instead of latest posts

    Hey, I have a domain that I currently have an empty WP install placed on. I don't want to show latest posts on my home page. I want to show categories. As an example, lets say my site talks about clothes.

    On my front page I would like to have the categories sort of like this - this is completely generic but I think it gets the point across. So, can I do this in wordpress, or should I use something else?

    Hello there,

    if you want to use wordpress, you will need to install Categories Images plugin.. then using its tag to show the categories Image on homepage.. you will have to tweak your Theme to do that...

    If you want to run a shop with this feature. so you can use Woocommerce....

    Hi, thank you for the info. No, I don't want to run a shop. I do want my articles to be indexed under one image on the front page. But I want several images, each one being a category. Do you think I should use something besides wordpress. I'm not sure what tweaking you are talking about - maybe it will be self explanatory once I get the plugin?

    1. Install Page Builder, it's free: https://wordpress.org/plugins/siteorigin-panels/
    2. Create a new page with your preferred grid.
    3. Add images to the grid.
    4. Link the images to your category index pages.
