Hi there, Yes Wordpress could do the job very well. As for hiring a programmer, do it if you can't make a wordpress website yourself (which I think anyone can). The most important will be the design, and for that, as usual, I recommend ThemeForest if you don't want to spend a bit more money on a unique theme.
