All the leaders and dictators are friends behind the scenes, really war, especially nuclear war is not the answer. The threat of violence is used as frightener to the world, keeps everyone n check and people stay nervous, once you have people scared they will do anything for peace. Check how many times these words and phrases get used in the media. Terrorism, Jihad, Islam, Muslim, Holy War, War Lords, Evil, Axis of Evil, Torture, God, Allah, Terror Cell, Suicide, Bombs, Bombers, Death etc etc Constantly repeated so that you end of crying out for something else, obly what they serve up is not good for the world as a whole. Bush and Kerry, their cousins right? Arnie marries into the Kennedys, Arnies dad was part of the Nazi party? Seen the Nazi shaped building in America with restricted airspace over it?

Well I will just tell ya'll my feelings. I am this typical American that some people percieve Americans as. I am probably just a typical countrymen from around the world. My plan would be to deport all illegal immigrants back to their country. I don't care where they came from. I would pull American troops out of everywhere except the US then just make a human wall around the borders. Nothing gets in. I would cut off all foreign aid totally. We got starving kids in this country that comes before Africa in my book. I would basically make America self efficient again. Like it was back in the 1950s. Materials were from America and it was made in America none of this outsourcing crap. That Welfare system would no longer exist in it's current form. I would make it to where if you are able to work then you will work and if you choose not to work then you get no free money from the government. Someone who is no longer able to work should be given help from the government. Here is the perfect example. We have war veterans coming back from the sand box over there that are not able to work anymore because of the injuries they sustained and they are going homeless. Yet the damn homey in the ghetto that is perfectly physically capable of working is selling drugs and getting a welfare check. Something wrong with that in my book. This world wouldn't have these problems if it didn't run on money. If all civilizations became self dependent then we could decide who to trade with and who to help out. One more thing about politics here. Even if there was a candidate that was honest he would never see office. Money runs politics as well. The two main political parties have the most money and they will put the kibosh on anybody that is honest and campaigning. This is why my belief is voting doesn't mean shit. Granted I vote for the lesser of the evils but it still pisses me off.
I agree, its money, anyone decent gets corrupted by the system anyway, the choice is join them or disappear. I do not vote in the country i live in.
Well last two elections I haven't voted because I moved and the new registration card hadn't shown up by the time I did. As for the decendant of immigrants yes it is possible. The thing is I am aware of how this country came about. I am also aware of the situation here. The thing to take in consideration is when our ancestors came over immigration did not exist as a term yet. Also I am fine with legal immigrants just not illegal ones. If you want to come to the country fine. Legal immigrants have to know English and they are accounted for in the country and then I don't mind them using the coutry's services. My view on illegal immigrants now is they come here to rape the country. See I understand the Mexicans that are illegal sending money back home to their families and all and a lot of other illegals are the same way. That is not a problem. The problem is when they use the services in this country but they do not pay taxes that provide these services. Other then that the only problem that remains is the illegal immigrants that are violent criminals.

That wasn't a joke. Back in the 1950's America was self sufficient. We had steel mills in full production and we used our own steel. Things were made in the USA. That is what I want back. As for the 1950's era itself I got nothing against it. Matter of fact I would probably fit in better there then I do this day of age and I am only 23.
That might also have something to do with that crappy $ at the moment and the expense pound. So it's not like they earn more, it more like the money is worth more when compared. But I figure you a beer still is 3$ and 3 pound or something

"Used to earthquakes"??? You should talk to my wife, who was a child in Anchorage, Alaska, in 1964 when the famous 9.2 Richter scale earthquake hit. The ground shook, not for a few seconds, but for 3 or 4 minutes! She said that the ground was rolling like waves of the sea. Entire homes slid on the liquified clay soil directly into Cook Inlet. Thousands of trees ended up at nearly 90-degree angles from upright. Fourth Avenue in downtown Anchorage split, and one half dropped about ten feet. She could not remain standing upright, but was continually knocked off balance. There is no "getting used" to earthquakes! But you learn to live with them. Here in Anchorage we've had two jolts recently that briefly rattled the dishes. But you just kind of hold your breath for a few seconds, waiting to see if it's another "Big One". Then you just go on with what you were doing.
Soory, but I beg to differ. I have been living in the US for 10+ years now, all of them in full legality. The people are great (OK, so some of them are a##h##es, but that's the case everywhere in the world). But American immigration is the absolute worst nightmare you can think of. Not because the rules are harsh, but because most of the process depends of the good will of bureaucrats with too much power. I do not mind laws making it hard to come in. I do mind imprecise laws that leave you in a limbo as to the exact conditions and hurdles so that you can never know for sure whether you are in or out. I know American people (they're my neighbors, remember?) are told that just plain anyone can come settle here, get a GC, or citizenship, but this is ABSOLUTE propaganda. It is to such a point that if I had known ten years ago how much time, energy and money I would have to spend on just staying legal, I might have made another decision.
