    I want to make social Networking site like "LinkedIn". For that how much time it takes and budget.

    6-10 good developers, 2 marketing specialists, a couple of graphic designers and a server guy, scaling up from a team of 3 to that after 6-12 months. About $1-2m should be enough to get started, but you'll probably need to do a couple of investment rounds at the end of year 1 and 2 to get $5m and then about $20m respectively. By year three, you should, if done correctly, have a strong social site like linked in, but you'll need to have a great, original idea, use the very latest emerging technologies and have a UX to die for.

    Seems like blacknet has already said everything. But before anything else .. consider the patents that most social networking sites are using or else you'll end up paying them :) Just like what is happening to Yahoo and Facebook right now wherein Yahoo might possibly get a $50B payment from Facebook.

    To make a site like linked in site, it can take 3-4 months and cost will be around 1200- 1500$.

    this is comples functionality site and having so many features in this.

    For a huge project like this, you'll need at least 5 developers and it can take more than a couple of months.

    The cost for this is usually arround 1000-1700$.
