The goal: Make $1000 in a month! I am in the process of creating an first ebook right now. This is my first day on it and I did research on what to write today. I used this forum and many other similar forum to see what people are mostly talking about and interested in. I also created a table of content and layout of how I will write the ebook. I planned out some steps to take to promote the eBook. On day 2, which is tomorrow, I will begin writing it. Is there anything else I much do? 1. Research 2. Write 3. Promote That is basically what I am doing and will sell it for $5-7 as a special report on my blog and other ways My goal is to make $1000 in 30 days doing this and I really believe it can be done. I hate to sound like a broken record, but the first thing you should do when you want to start making more money online is get a list. Collect the e-mail addresses of people in your niche by using a squeeze page, and you're well on your way to success. Just keep working on building that list, and once you have a sizeable amount of e-mail addreses, then you can release an ebook. Trust me, it makes everything a lot easier when you have a list; you can send affiliate promotions, own product/website promotions, and basically anything you want. Ultimately what you do is up to you, but if you plan on taking a shot in the dark and just selling an e-book, hoping that people will trip and fall headfirst onto their keyboards, which miraculously spells your url into their address bar, then it is doubtful that you will make 1000$/month. I don't need a list to sell ebook online. I do have a small list of over 25, but I haven't even email them promoting anything or even tried to get it bigger. I just need to market my ebook to the right people and if I sell correctly, they'll buy I will see if I can do it though. This is gonna interesting.
Hi Sean1989, you don't really need a list to sell an ebook but it helps a lot. My suggestion is that you sell it through the 7dollar script so other people will help you to build a list. Ari
is a "squeeze page" one where you are giving away a "free ebook" yet they have to hand over their name and email address before they are allowed to download? sorry to jack the thread a little
Hi, congrats on your journey to a new ebook. Frankly hitting a target of $1000 within 30 days means that you have to sell at least 5-7 books a day if they are priced at $5-7. It is achievable if the topic is popular and there is not much of a competition. But at the end of the day, you really need to know where to market it. Product owners are able to do so because they already have a ready list to buy from them. If you are a newbie, you may need to work really hard in your advertising efforts. One suggestion is to give the buyer "PLR" or "Resale rights" so that you can use your book to do some backend sales to raise your $1000. Yes, building a List is the most profitable thing to do online. It makes the whole thing easier. People are not looking for strangers to give their money to. You need people to develop a relationship with you. People are buying from their "friends" online - that is the bitter truth, no matter what you think. Not long ago, I wrote a Report on how to set up a US Bank account as a Non-resident. I put up a squeeze page to collect email addresses and it has been working fine. Use the same approach, because most people will not buy on their first visit - procrastination! It is human nature.
I hate to say it, but I seriously doubt you will sell that ebook to anyone. Are you a professional copywriter who will actually get them to buy? Professional traffic generator that can bring tons of people to your website? Are you even qualified to write an ebook in your niche? That's why I recommend building a list before you even think of trying to sell an ebook. That's where most people starting out in internet marketing fail; they try and jump right in with the big projects rather than building themselves up to it. I suggest making a goal of "$1000 in 30 days" after the E-book is created. If you set the goal you want, you will rush and you might not get as great of an end result with the E-book. Once it's complete work on traffic and getting sales. Creating, editing, and revising an E-book can take 1-2 weeks. Then you have to come up with a good sales page/squeeze page, and then you have to market it. Just creat it and then set a time frame to make money.........much easier in my opinion.
Its very possible to get that goal. I once wrote an e-book, and advertised it on a different forum and charged close to $100 per copy, and I made $3,600 within the month from it.
