I want to make a site that features holidays and flight but I don't want to be a travel agent myself.

Im looking for a way to sell holidays and flights (possibly as an affiliate)

What I want is that I can load a page which looks just like a (for example) lastminute.com flight booking page.

I don't want to lose the user so If possible, I want them to book on my site but the booking goes to the merchant.

Does this make sense? And if so, any ideas on what I could do.

Have you looked at some of the direct sales models?.. Like WorldVentures or GRN?..

I think they are MLM based, but you don't HAVE to build a team.. I'm not too sure, just thought i'd give you some ideas

I would also be interested in getting some more information on the topic of flights.

What I do know is that most flight checker sites use some type of screen scraping scripts, an api for each airline or utilize a datafeed of some kind, but it would be nice to hear from someone who has already done this and the method they use.

Screen scraping is likely the most common and easiest way to check flight information from several sites in one go, but how does the gateway website make money from the process if the outgoing links are not affiliate urls, or in other words how to convert normal outgoing links to their affiliate equivalent (if the airline has an affiliate program). Cheapflights.co.uk is a pretty good aggregator - is there a script available that clones this type of functionality?
