Hello, I want to make a website from where people will able to download MP3 songs. I know its against the copyright laws but I can see many websites on internet & providing these services. I want to know following things regarding this: 1. Why these websites are not facing DMCA issues & there URLS are also indexed into google.com ??? How these websites are working ??? 2. In which country I can purchase domain & web space where DMCA will not act ? 3. when I will create such type of website then what things I need to keep in mind to stay far from legal issues ??? are you incapable of coming up with some LEGAL thing to do instead of joining the other crooks already doing what you want to?
some of these websites do not store mp3s on their servers. For eg: mp3raid.com. It comes on top 10 for almost any song. But it does not store mp3s on its own servers. It just searches the net for available mp3s.
It doesn't matter that you don't store the files if the the site providing the links is hosted in a country that abides by infringement laws. Providing access or a gateway can still get you into trouble. To the OP, I see people committing crimes everyday..it doesn't make want to do the same thing just because I think someone else is getting away with it. Besides, what's the point of creating yet another MP3 site that will probably get you into trouble? Aren't there enough? Besides, how do you make money from people who are too cheap to spend or don't have 99 cents for something that they want? By their very nature, they are looking to beat the system and get something for free..how is that worth any money to a webmaster?
Excelent post - there are far too many people in the world today that have the attitude the world owes them - these are the lazy good for nothing low lifes that expect everything for nothing and would sell their own granny. They need to wake up and learn that if you want something then get off their lazy a$$ and go work to make some money to pay for it.
They have either spoofed their addresses and their hosting providers are adamant against suspending them. For something as big as internet, you cannot DMCA everything. Possibly in those countries where english is not a primary language, china and russia would be the best choice i.e if you can work around with their languages. But dont upload chinese and russian songs Make sure the domain is registered in the name of your favorite fall guy, just kidding. Register it in the name of non-existent person. And keep in mind that you need to detach yourself from the domain as soon as there is a problem. Lastly its better not to do anything illegal. When you download a song illegally, you deprive people from getting reward of their due hardwork.
