Google webmaster tool isn't showing you wrong keywords ! It's wrong you right keyword on right position. When time comes to search manually so you don't fine your keywords on Google ! So in this case ! You need take help of Google Advanced Search. Just go to https://www.google.com/ & see "Advanced search" click on Advanced search now see "Customize your search settings" option at End of page. Click on "Customize your search settings" & now see "Number of Results" you will see (Google's default (10 results) provides the fastest results.Display results per page.) so increase page quality & Save Preferences now you will redirect on "Advanced Search" so click again on "Advanced Search" Now just search your keywords & find your website URL! If your keywords are coming on SERP result so surely you would find your keywords.

Positions in Google Webmaster tools are positions when Google bot last indexed your pages which may decrease/increase though the tool displays old SERPs unless it's indexed again.

Also SERPs are different for different regions, google.co.in, .com/ncr, .co.uk etc.

There are already lot of info in this forum -

    DP has it's own checker - https://tools.digitalpoint.com/tracker

Old Discussion on same topic - https://forums.digitalpoint.com/threads/what-is-the-best-google-serp-checker.2626108/

Most of the tools mentioned in this thread are still live and working. Cheers!

Ok this can be affected by a couple of things, first off your geo location will determine what results you are seeing. Is this a geo modified keyword like "Chicago Plumber" Additionally if you are logged into your Google account while performing a search it will use your account history to tailor results which will result in changes as well. (usually the reverse happens and you see your site when its not actually ranking, bc of how many times youve visited it)

So you need to know the ranking of a keyword? Use Micrositemasters they have a free keyword program that will let you track up to 10 keywords completely free. Its a daily rank tracker and the best on the market. Takes only a minute to setup. It sounds like this would be ideal for you as you've mentioned you only want to track one keyword.

It happens some times that very competitive keywords have higher position in Google according to any stat, but when you search the position then you are not able to find. It happens these days.. it may be that the content is just indexed and it was forwarded when searched... are too activeness of a site at any moment.

There is something called SEO Powersuite which is a software bundle. One of the softwares in the software bundle is called Rank Tracker. You can use to find your webpages position in most search engines around the work. For example Google US, Google South Africa and so on even for Bing and Yahoo. They have a paid edition for SEO Consultants and a free editions for webmasters to use. The free edition is more than enough. You just enter the keyword you want to check and the URL.

You might not be seeing your website because Google might be showing personalized results. Just sign out of your google account like someone mentioned earlier. The other thing might be that the position in the webmaster might be for Google.com but you might be looking in Google.co.uk or search for another country. I am not sure what results appear in Google Webmasters, but I am sure the positions are different for different search engines. The software I mentioned, will help you tract properly. :)

C'mon Dude, did you see what google webmaster shows?? I think you dont know, they show only average ranking, btw if you're working this for your overseas client. Check the rankings using overseas proxies because google shows different results in different country google.com.
