do not use godaddy , prefer using pool or snap or enom if domain is with them, but all these greedy guys make sure you do not pay more, i would prefer to buy these at DP rather than going out there. Roxy
I want to follow up on my earlier contribution to this thread for the benifit of other who may read this thread. The 75 day figure that I mentioned is probably a minimum number of days after the domain expiration date before a domain can be captured. I was sucessful in obtaining the one I was after. It expired on 1/12/06 and I registered it through the BO process on 4/1/06. That is more like 80 days but I may have missed or counted a toe twice. The key point is that it is a long drawn out process.
IMHO, backorder at the registrar that the domain is registered at. I would guess that teh backordering system at that registrar would know 1st.
Will there be any consideration for the offers placed at the registrar of the domain which is going to expire. Let me explain say abc.com is with godaddy and is about to expire. Which backorder will have more chance - the one with godaddy or the one with enom or pool ??
That is what Ithink happens, as it makes sense in general terms. However the proces of backordering could be diffrent. Another thought is that one backordering service checks avaliability every day, and another checks every 5 minutes. So you are more likely to be 1st inline with the second one. But once again this is speculation on my part.
