I want to know about Meta tags

Hello Guys I want to know about following meta tags

<meta content='5 days' name='revisit'/>
<meta content='5 days' name='revisit-after'/>
<meta content='document' name='resource-type'/>

can you plz give me explanation of these meta tags

 

By using this so called REVISIT-AFTER meta tag you can tell the spider to come back to your website and index it again. This meta tag is used by several North American search engines.

resource-type is use for indexing programs - as stated, the search program will use this site to other indexing sites.

 

Hello.

"revisit" is used to set day when crawl/spider will revised your website. Some bot use this parameter. Last one is to set type of document.

 

Is these parameters are necessary or not. I am not familiar about these parameters are necessary or not? Kindly tell me about that i will be thankful to you.

 

Meta tags can be add at all pages not just the 1st page.Make sure that every page relevant meta tags with keywords and concepts that relate to the content.
you can use revisit meta tag as under.

< meta name = " revisit-after "content =" 1 day ">
by using this tag you are bounding search engines to comeback after 1 day and recheck its index.
you should also kept this thing in your mind that Google does not use this tag they use their own internal algo.

 

Meta tag that describes about a webpage.The Meta tag will appear every titile in all search engines.it is important for every page on your website.

 

I recommend that you do not use the revisit-after meta tag. It is not supported by any major search engines (Google, Yahoo!, or Bing) and even the search engine it was developed for considers it obsolete.
