Depends on the size of the each blog you have, but I assume that would be enough to have multiply shared web hosting account

You want to use http://mu.wordpress.org because it allows you to run 10 blogs on the same installation of Wordpress. For hosting try HostGator, you can find HostGator coupons in my signature

    Bluehost, HostGator and Dreamhost.

I bet Dreamhost may provide better performance for your need. Their MySQL server is on a dedicated box, as infrastructure consultant, I tell you you will most likely to have best throughput with Dreamhost.

But Dreamhost doesn't have cPanel and its proprietary interface doesn't have file manager but SSH is free. Great to Linux geek, like my tech.

if you want more option, check my site wordpresshostings.

    Hope that helps.

HostGator may be suitable for 10 blogs * 1,000 visitors / blog / day = 10,000 visitors / day. It is not a problem with bandwidth at this number of visitors, but you must be careful at CPU usage especially in shared environments, so use a WP cache plugin.

Another approach may be to use TWO different web hosting services (cheaper than HostGator) and keep five blogs at each host. In this way you "don't keep all eggs in the same basket" and you will have another small benefit in case of blogs interlinking (there will be 2 class-C IP addresses, not only one). Good luck!

My blog receives 25.000 impressions a day and I'm using Shared account on HostGator. They are the best wordpress webhost ever. Highly recommend it for you.

I think any shared host will do.
I have heard that Joomla sites use more system resources but wordpress is fine.

I would suggest Hostgator here. You need unlimited plans! Doreo hosting is quite good but unlimited domains are not allowed. You can also see this article on finding web hosts for a beginner.
