If not which one would you recommend.
    Thanks.

You should be able to. It depends on the bandwidth you are allowed. I always suggest HastyHost.com or HostingZoom.com :)

Average person is going to look at maybe 3-4 pages. 10 blogs x 1000 individual visitors x 3.5 page views each = 35,000 page views per day. It's doable. Throw in wp-supercache on all of those and I would take a shot at it.

1and1 and godaddy - both I am using right now. I think they are great, except I haven't been able to get filezilla to work with godaddy. But I heard that you cannot cancel them after you sign up... hasn't occurred to me yet :)

If you anticipate that many visits everyday consider looking beyond a shared hosting solution.

You need not look further than Lacehost.com for hosting your wordpress blogs ..... Very affordable hosting and great service ! The owner is online all day whenever you need him ..... PS: Do not go by their website design ..... I've been hosted with them for a year now, and apart from some minor gltches, they provide true value for money !

Get your hosting account from either HostGator or DreamHost.

I'd go for a cloud server on that one. If you have 10 separate domains and enough traffic you will need it. RackSpace would my choice. GoDaddy is overpriced and you can't run ANY media streaming on their hosted accounts. The one I use, http://hostdepartment.com gives you 10 slots, unlimited bandwidth and unlimited space for really cheap, but they do have issues at times. Sometimes they rock, sometimes they don't. They will fix whatever is broken though. If you are on a really limited budget you could start there and then move up to RackSpace.

Yes, I'd throw a vote in for Hostgator - on capacity and, most importantly in my mind, relaibility and service levels

you will not need that much bandwidth, since most hosts today offer unlimited bandwidth and most users don't actually view even 1/10 off the site when they visit.

from my experience, it's the LOAD that may cause the problem, i.e. the CPU load of the server, requesting a php /sql each time a new person views your website. this was the main reason I had to move a dedicated once upon a time, but you can solve th problem by using cache plug in, you reduce the load and can handle a lot of activity without going down.

Definitely hostgator and wp-super is the way to go if you don't want to opt for a VPS
