It's a decent looking blog although the content does not appeal to me (Personal thing) The right hand side is of perfect size for some skyscraper banners, you would need to check who want to advertise there, in the mean time you could just use adsense until something more substantial comes your way.
Your website is too long to loading, this may be caused by the theme you use. I think you better replace it with theme that more little using the image.
