I recently launched some new product sites but i am looking forward to Launching several more this week so i need public opinion to decide whether i should focus on building several niche websites to market each product independently or build one authority site to market them in one place????...Putting in mind that i will invest all resourses to give each site good SEO stats,Social media campaign etc..which of the two do you feel will have a higher success rate => NICHE SITE or AUTHORITY SITE ?????:confused::confused:

    Hi leoxurious,
I'd like to throw a spanner in the works here!

You can have a Site about electronics and covering a whole range of topics in the electronics dept
could become an authority site if the content is unique, relevant, informative etc....

You can have a niche site about HD Televisions and that could become an authority site about HD Televisions only with unique content etc....

Are your products related? would they fit together on the same website?

What is your competition against other authority/niche sites?

Weigh up the differences and choose your path.

    Good luck with your site(s)

    Dave

i completely agree with you 100%..i want to market several products from different categories on clickbank and promote them all on one single website..so i guess the website will spread across several niches since each product will have it's own unique niche..or what do you think about this???

You should opt for a niche site and make it strong with the proper techniques. This would be better as compared to a strong authority site with the main content being diluted down.

    Leo,

A good medium here would be to create a very niche blog and give away a product while collecting email addresses. You would then be creating an email list and you would have a good idea of the type of product our list is interested in.

It may be better to focus on one niche with a generic domain name and then list product categories in sub-domains/.

If you target health and wellness you could add sub-domains to cover:

These categories can also be broken down into sub niches
Dieting - special dieting needs, gluten free etc...
Keep fit - All sorts of varied keep fit programs and equipment (Amazon)
Personal ailments and allergies - cures, remedies etc...

and so on and so on.

This would still be a niche site (health and wellness) and also an authority site
due to the wide scale of targeted, relevant and related content.

When you have one system in place replicate it for example music niche.
This can be broken down into so many sub-niches:
Learn musical instruments - how mant instruments can you think of :)
    Learn to read music
    Recording/producing music
    Writing music/songs

    and so on.....

I think this is a better route than a whole lot of non-related products all occupying the same space.

    Good luck

    Dave
