Hey DPers. For about 6 months I've been having a good debate on which ride I should get.

I have an S-10 for loading a dirtbike, go-kart, building stuff, etc in it and I have a cheap Metro for the winter to save on gas.

Now it is time to go fast. I want a muscle car. I'm having the hardest time figuring out what direction to go and what kind of car to get and I'm asking you if there is some kind of car that I may have missed. I'm not rich but well off enough to buy something used, I want horsepower, I'm not into slow 130hp cars that look nice, I like a hip exhaust sound, I'm into the tough look. I'm not looking for a double carb which will cost me $20 a minute.

    Here's a couple I've been juggling.

1970 to 1975 Chevy Monte Carlo Custom:

negatives: Rarely 5 speeds, harder on gas, parts hard to find, will be hard to find on thats over 300HP without putting a lot of work in it.

1983 to 1989 Monte Carlo SS Custom:

negatives: hard to find, they rust fast, never are standards, typically have a crappy plain interior, come with a slow weak 350engine.

2003 to 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX STi
negatives: uncomfortable interior, little bit immature(for 17yr olds), it looks a little like an economic car

1984 to 1989 Mustang GT or LX 5.0litre

negatives: there's a billion of these things around.

Any others that I should check into?

Get yourself a 1985 Z-28 Camaro with a 350 and tuned port injection. I had one with a 305 and it was the fastest factory car I ever bought. That things acceleration would actually push you back in the seat when floored. The tuned port injection was really something.
