I want to give a gift to rss subscribers what is the best way?

I want to be able to offer my rss subscribers things that my regular readers cannot access. Is there a way I can add something extra to the rss feed that is not available on the normal post?

What would you suggest?

Question is... why would you want to give them a gift? Why not rather set up mailing list system and give gift for those who subscribe?

Yep. Depending your platform, there sure is. In Wordpress you can use "Angsuman’s Feed Copyrighter Plugin for WordPress" - and simply change the copyright text to something else.

 

You can always set up a capture page that is only revealed to RSS subscribers...from there you can bait them with that too good to refuse offer. I'm going with a scratch card script that will appeal to the desire that so many people have to win something. While my need is not for rss subscribers it should still work for other types of subscribers and the scratch card is not what they normally expect to see...it's unique, you may want to consider it.

 

Thanks I will check it out. The reason I am aiming for rss subscribers is because I am at the start of a rss feed count competition with 4 other bloggers and want to offer incentives to those who subscribe to my feed.
