Hey, I had this problem up till I was about 23.

    Then I discovered Beer.......

go to the shop, buy yourself some good beer (not lager!) Something like Tetleys, Boddingtons or John Smiths!

    Repeat often for best results.

Seriously, though - you must have a very high metabolism. Some people are like that. You just need to crank up the food intake to compensate. The only way to gain wait is to consume more calories than you are burning. Based on what you are saying, your high metabolism just burns an extraordinary amount of calories even at rest.

So you just have to eat more. Many people in your situation find eating a lot of solid meals just too difficult. That's where "weight gain" shakes come in. But you don't need to buy anything special at the store. Just make your own. Milk, chocolate syrup, ice cream, raw oats - blend it all up in a blender and drink it down. Do that 3 times per day for a couple weeks and see if the scale changes any.

The other thing you can do is get your doctor to run a few tests. Could be that you have a screwed up thyroid or something else contributing to the problem. Fixing that with some meds can make a world of difference.

You could try some of those high protein shakes that bodybuilders use to bulk themselves up. I'm not sure how good that is from a medical point of view, but it should help.

Well, that could also be a plan. Did you ever see the movie called 'Supersize Me'? The guy in that consumed only McDonalds food for an entire month and gained 25 pounds. He was taking in 5000 calories a day and the lethargy of his poor diet meant he was expending much less energy than usual too.

So there you go - it's a scientific fact that if you increase you calorific intake and decrease the amount of calories you burn you'll gain weight.

Sorry if I am repeating what someone already said, but if your metabolism is too high, then eat your three meals plus snacks a day and go on a protein milkshake! Make sure it is natural and does not contain any steroids, but the one I used to drink had a delicious 3000 calories a glass! :O
Ya, its gross as sh*t, but I think I gained 18 pounds in 2 months? I still only 5'8 and 115 lbs. :(
    But three years ago... Ha...

Start lifting weights, drinking protein drinks (This ads the most) and you can get a good body while doing all of this before summer ends.. make sure you eat steak a few times week and a lot of fatty foods.. You will convert this fat intake to muscle by working out

No, it isn't. Stay away from that crap as far as you can.
I'd recommend you to eat a few times a day (4-5), medium meals (no need for huge meals that you can barely eat).
Food includes: Chicken, eggs, rice, all sorts of fruit, fish, cheese sandwiches, yogurts (5%-9%).

Haha. I have the same problem. I'm 6 feet 3 inches and 140 pounds.

The best solution is probably to eat a lot of foods with a lot of protein and start lifting.
