I want to ensure that a website I make is completely untracable to me. Can someone help me? Keep in mind, I want this to withstand a lot of scrutiny, hacking attempts, and even physical threats to domain company's. Thanks let me know.
As far as domain names are concerned, most of the popular domain name registrar would offer Whois privacy as part of the package or an add-on. But I am sure that would only go as far as normal day to day purposes. If there is a court order to lift that veil, I would believe they would have to comply. Hacking attempts would relate to the site hosting in question so it depends on how strong and proactive their security system is. As to tracing the site back to you, I supposed it is possible. First each domain name would need to be paired with an IP address. It is possible to track back to which datacenter was assigned that IP and from the web host records, they should be able to track back to which customer uses it. Like I said earlier, most likely a court order would be enough to make them reveal your details. What do you plan to host anyways ? From the sound of it, it does not seems quite legal or at least very controversial.
I don't know if this counts as "help", but that's not realistic. You can probably sign up for your registrar's privacy service. But as eddy2099 said they'll reveal the actual contact details upon receipt of notice from legal counsel of a civil or criminal action or from law enforcement. And the hosting part can also be compromised or traced. You can input tons of safeguards as you can, but there's always a chink in the armor somewhere.
It would be a site that would get a lot of flack from news sources and be controversial and might lead to riligious riots etc. I'm sitll contemplating wether to it or not. It would be like social experiment.
sounds iffy to me. Recommended idea. Would be put fake info and uses free webhosting in which you login through a popular proxy. But i don't recommend lieing on domain info icann can shut it down.
If it is more pain than its worth and cause more hatred, I do not think it is really worth even to consider getting it up. Personally, religion is a very sensitive issue especially with the current atmosphere so it is probably not wise in my opinion to try to cause more rift or hatred. In the end, you have nothing to gain but everything to lose. It would be better if you dedicate your time and effort to bridge the gap and promote religious harmony and world peace. The world already have too much problems on its own to worry about.
