How do I sell it? I guess I need people to SEE it first and realise it's not like many others where you click on it and BANG - you've got 7 windows open and you haven't got a clue where you are! My site has a maximum of 3 banner ads per page, no re-directs, no pop-ups, no pop unders...no pop anywheres! I'd like a few ideas on how to grow to it. Thought about hiring micro-workers to post links but not sure if that's likely to yield results. Still, happy to give it a go if anyone has any sites they can recommend for this sort of job?! thanks all!
is there a market for such sites still? this is more like mid 80s product you are working on. these days of free tube sites, models sitting home with their webcams, HD videos, real time streaming etc, who will be happy with just pictures?
Yes - it's still possible to make a bit of money with this, though not as much as in the past. I got 25,000 views today - but that's not paying the mortgage lol
pictures are still attractive for many users, if the site is reliable, easy to surf, quality content... etc... you can contact me if you wish to monetize your traffic easy and efficiently..
I think free tubes inclusive free images is your main competition. Perhaps you should consider doing this.
lol... First off...you need to realize WHY other web sites that host adult content are loaded up with ads. It's because people primarily use Adult Picture Hosting services as a way to use someone elses bandwidth as appose to their own which costs the site owner a LOT of money. Picture this...someone uploads a decent quality picture that is 500KB. That picture is then posted on an Adult forum, a tgp as an ad, and a blog. Within 24 hours 25,000 people fetch the picture. 11.92 GB of bandwidth was used...on ONE picture for ONE user for ONE day. Hence why companies that offer Adult Hosting Services are either owned by multi milliondollar companies that use the traffic to market their own products -OR- they are loaded up with ads to make some money.
Yes there is still a use for these types of services. But they are mostly used by other Web Masters that want to use someone elses bandwidth. Let's not forget about 2257 ordinance. If you are in a country with strict guidelines you can indeed wind up in big trouble.
Thanks guys for all your input - some stuff to think about I guess. My 'plan' was for my image site to be used for people sharing torrents etc. They would upload their screens onto my website and link to it on the torrent site. I noticed that LOADS of image hosting sites were being blocked because they took advantage of the high volume of traffic by firing loads and LOADS of ads at the user - so many you didn't know what the hell it was you were trying to download! Those sites get banned pretty quickly, so I was hoping by offering a few banner ads (no pop-ups, pop-unders, peels etc etc etc), I would get natural traffic using my site - the ones they use get banned so they use one that is acceptable. I think it's a pretty good plan to be honest...but I suppose it'll take a bit of time for people to move over to a new one if the one they use IS acceptable, and hasn't caused them any problems so far. Another idea is to employ someone to upload torrents for cash using my site. Anyone any ideas on that one? I think everything I'm talking about was used heavily in years gone by....but some simply Market Research on my part has shown a bit of a gap in the market here - not a wide gap I admit, but there is something there. People have moved on from this, but I think there's a bit of money to be made here still. Thoughts? And be kind lol!!!!
