You don't know where to start? Hmm, do you know a programming language, or better two? When I wanted to make my social network I didn't know where to start, but learned some PHP, and increased my HTML and CSS knowledge...after that I still didn't really know where to start, lol...so I learned some XML, and JavaScript, Ajax...and soon Jquery.... now I have a better grip on what to do, but will still need help along the way as I'm somewhat in the beginner - under-novice faze..in there somewhere. Just not sure what you mean by don't know where to start, lol... Sometimes if you don't know where to start there's a lack of key knowledge....if that's not the case...Maybe look at some Google hits on pages that are doing the same....umm study them yourself, and try to mimic some of the functionality... all that you don't like take out and change, and all that you like include in your own way.
I can't say that I know what a coupon word press site is, but it sounds like you need coupons. Have you done any business networking yet? If they're digital coupons you're gonna need to hit up a bunch of companies, forums, and sites, and get connected with people that are offer discounts on the types of gear that you're going to be promoting. I'd suggest a social networking campaign as well, but really dig in and try to find people with digital discounts....really in the beginning don't be picky....don't coupons from software developers, or who ever you'll be targeting from the ground up....supply and promote.
Hi Jeremy, Thanks for responding, I already have a Layout of a Wordpress website (couponaces.com), I have an affiliate account approved on Tyroo and I know a little about HTML, PHP, Javascript, and CSS. I just want to know how to develop it, is there any kind of tutorial present online or any preset which I can download?
Not sure, hope someone can help... meanwhile could use Google to run some searches. Know how that can be though, can take a few days to find what you're looking for. Sounds like you're in the same boat as me with programming knowledge. I still get a lot help, but coming around... Some searches I would run would be "Building a Wordpress website", "developing a Wordpress website", and "Wordpress tutorials". I'm thinking the more you become an expert on Wordpress itself the better you'll have of an understanding of what to do.
oh, and if you have a template already, than you're going to need to watch tutorials on the wordpress dashboard, how to install templates, or themes... and you can probably use something like web expression 4 to edit templates, and practice web design...used to be pretty expensive, but Microsoft released a free version. One my favorite tools. YouTube, as you probably know is great for tuts... I would dig in there... That's what I usually do when I want to learn, that and books... What you can learn from a large wealth of knowledge is invaluable to what one person can just tell you... like this is how you put up your template, and what not... I really recommend digging in and working towards a level of personal expertise...It really is the only way.
if you are to develop this for the sake of learning there's no better way to start here http://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Lessons however if you want to develop this site for the sake of business perspective perhaps i would suggest to check null script offering or deal script offering. example like gripsell or intellewise. the amount of time you would spend in development will be perhaps more expensive compare to pay to this offerings. its also time vs money.
there are so many coupon wordpress theme. but i like coupon press most. just search in google with: Coupon Press Wordpress Theme.
