While DP has been a great source for Freelancing in the past, I no longer feel that way and would like to delete my account. It's my understanding that you can't delete the account on your own and you have to ask Mods/Administrators to delete it for you, so how do I go about doing that?
We do not delete accounts. If you no longer wish to use your account, just walk away and post no more.
I see... so there's no way any Administrators will remove an account? Well, this account was made back in 2007 and it's using my real name as the account name. That's partly why I don't want it here anymore. I just now noticed this page. https://www.digitalpoint.com/account/upgrades So, the only way around this is for me to pay a $25.00 fee to change my name on an account I'm not going to use? I don't understand why Administrators won't delete accounts on request.
Think of all the threads that would suddenly look odd if your responses weren't there And what about the posts that you are quoted in?
There are hundreds, if not thousands, of Corey Geers out there: https://www.google.com/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=corey geer Just change your prof. picture to something else and quit posting. The thing is, what if a year from now you'd wish you had your account back? That way you can always come back.
Interesting question, I'll be keeping an eye out on what the outcome is on this one. In your defense I applaud your honest attempt in requesting to delete your account as I'm sure there some users out there who would try to sell off there account once they see it as no use. Hope both parties here can work out a solution.
IF you worry about your name then already told by qwikad there ton sof people out of your name. If DP need 25$ then paying it would worth if you are so insecure. Don't feel like that, Try stop using the account and many of here will forgot you. Who care if one goes? I think you need to understand the things in mature way. Let it be just not use the account.
