    I definitely suggest using Adobe Photoshop as it has a lot of features for editing photos.

    Seconded.

    Photoshop if you really want more control over the entire editing process. If not you can go with something lighter such as Picasa or Aperture for Mac.

    Its all depends How deep you wanna customize? When I take Screenshot, Ofcourse, I paste in MS Paint Instead of Adobe Photoshop, than Save in .PNG, & Share with others.

    i agree with "Its all depends How deep you wanna customize", but if you only want to take screenshot, maybe you can try to use pixlr grabber (firefox addons)

    I think it really depends on how much customization you are looking for and the duration. If you are only looking to change the size or change your photo to grayscale there are tons of free applications and programs that can do that. However if you have the money and are looking for something that allows full customization and you intend to make good use of it, I would shell out the money and get Photoshop.

    Adobe photoshop is perfect I think, also you can use some other photo editing software such as photo impact.
