I want to contact lawyers by email to offer them a service they really need, is this legal?

How can I email lawyers about a service I offer without breaking spam laws, as this group would be the worst to be breaking any spam laws with.

I would really appreciate any advise on this.

    Thanks in Advance

Where did you get the list of emails?

Are you going to write them each a personal email or spam them all with a form email?

What is the "service" you are pitching to them?

As long as you comply with the CAN-SPAM act of 2008, go ahead and send your service information. You can comply by including a post office box or private mailbox and clarifying that to submit a valid opt-out request, a recipient cannot be required to pay a fee, provide information other than his or her email address and opt-out preferences, or take any other steps other than sending a reply email message or visiting a single page on an Internet website.

I am going to hand pick the email addresses based on the lawyers that I want to target.
    Around 100 per day.
I am going to write them all a personal email.
I am pitching Internet Marketing Services.

Is this a legal way to do this?

They will not need to opt out of anything because I will only contact them once with a personal email. Do I still need to offer an opt out option?

    Thanks for your help
Any more clarification on this subject would be appreciated

here's a start: put [ADV] in the title, and your real name and physical address in the text, along with a working opt-out linlk for future mailings.

Technically, if they never agreed to receive emails from you, you would be breaking spam laws. Basically, you are just harvesting emails and trying to solicit business. As long as you include your real name, address and a working link to not receive any emails, you probably won't get in trouble. However, these are lawyers so I would tread carefully.

You may be legally OK but if a recipient reports it as spam then it is spam - and if there are repeated incidents your host is unlikely to listen to your arguments. You may want to use a 3rd party service like www.verticalresponse.com
