If you are located in China, Brazil, India, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates, Yemen, Palestinian Territory, or Thailand, you will not have the option to update your payee name within your account.

If you plan to give/sell your account to someone else, you can forget about it. You can't change you family name.

So its equal to applying for Adsense again and now it involve risk since you have 50/50 chances of being approved or rejected. The better solution would be get a new Bank Account on the checks you receive. I too had a problem with existing bank but visited newly launched bank like Federal bank or South Indian Bank. They can easily create new account at low price and your desired Payee Name although it might slightly differs as shown in your verifications documents.
I think you can get it changed with the help of only adsense team but I think it is not allowed ... I have read somewhere that once you made the account than you can only make changes in house details and other contact info only ..
