Guys i want to buy a hosting for my video hosting site disk space has to be unlimited bandwidth has to unlimited it would be really good if the host supports hosting of copyright video like movies and music videos now i have some choises http://www.ipage.com/hosting-features http://www.webhostingpad.com/hosting-features.html http://www.tmdhosting.com/ tell me which 1 of them is best or provide me a better 1
So basically you are searching for an offshore dedicated server/vps. Simple Shared Hosting won't allow you to upload videos and music, unlimited doesn't exist but you can find interesting dedicated servers or vps with HD starting at 250gb and arriving also to 2tb!
Yep, no "unlimited" hosting will ever allow you to use too many of their resources... best way to go is a VPS or Dedicated Server, where you know exactly how many resources you have at your disposal... also as YoGem said, it must be offshore cause none of the companies in the US can allow your copyrighted videos/music to be hosted on their servers. Good Luck.
so u mean to say that to buy vps server or dedicated server for hosting i have seen alot of vps server hosting but they have a limited disk space then how do big video hosting sites have alot of diskspace ?? i also visited where those big sites got their hosting but there is no plans ie unlimited ?Why is that So ? but those sites has thousands of videos a video having 1 gb ?? why is that /
Nothing is unlimited. All of HPs provide "unlimited" plan are the liars. But if you need one, try HostGator, their support is good.
i know that but how do the video sharing sites like novamov, megavideo, movshare, videoweed hav alot of space ?? i went to the sites on which they are hosted on but there was also some limited stuff written >??? why? how can i get hosting "
Hello, They own hundreds of servers. Shared hosting isn't really suitable for video hosting. You will find some hosts who allow you to upload videos but the server is likely to be very slow as a result. As others have said "unlimited" is a marketing tactic used but really is a lie. You need to look at the hosts Terms Of Service. VPS/Dedicated hosts have limits on their products because every server has a limit. You will find some providers that oversell their VPSs as well. Regards, Jack
Those sites are very popular and have hundreds of servers dedicated to storing video etc. It's known that all of Google's products etc is hosted on around the 1,000,000 server mark which is crazy to think about. Jack
hmm first ill go for a normal server and get some money out of the site and then when i hav got the money then i think i would change the server
i meant to say that i will try one of the above mentioned hosts or cirtexhosting fist if they cant handle the site then i will probably move to a vps server
