I would warn people before they enter that this is an adult site and you must be over 18 to enter and all your actors must be 18 or older.
Yes, make sure that your site has an entry page with no porn on it that says that you must be over 18 to enter this site. Also, your video must either be made by you or someone you know and you must have permission from whoever took the video and all people within it that it is all right to post this on the web. If you are going to use a video owned or made by someone else, you must ask them for copyright permission. KEEP RECORD OF ALL PEOPLE WHO SAY THAT YOU CAN POST THE VIDEO. GET IT IN WRITING AND KEEP IT SOMEWHERE SAFE AND NEVER GET RID OF IT, that way, you have proof against them if they sue you. Other than that, you should be fine, moral issues notwithstanding.
Haha, great last line! Rep+ for that one! Yeah definately take care with who owns what but also ensure your host provider allows it in their ToS and make sure the country where it is hosted in will not come after you for breaking laws etc. Goodluck Andy
just have a disclaimer which would verify age also you may have some issues in islamic countries where this stuff is forbidden
u also need legal documentations on all the actors, u can get into SERIOUS trouble if the government thinks that the actors are under 18 years of age and u cant provide documentation proving otherwise! Hope this helps!
You'll be fine as long as you're not breaking copyright laws, either where your host is located or in your country. Many adult affiliate programs provide free materials such as pictures and short clips for promotional use so you'll be fine. Just make sure any videos you have aren't breaking copyright rules (I.E cut scenes.) and that you have an adult filter on your website.
You don't need anything that requires anyone to show they are 18. You don't need to have records showing they are 18 or older since you aren't the one taking the videos nor do you hold the copyright on them, you seem to think you can just shorten a porn video and make it legal, it's not, even if you take a 3 second scene it's copyright infringement and you will get sued, or go to jail if you get big enough, but if you want to keep it small, you will not likely have that happen just get dmca notices and such so make sure you get a provider outside the US to get less problems with your hosting provider.
Yea just make sure that all of your actors are the right age and not underage. That could be a serious issue, which could land you in jail. And you will also have to make your website visitors click something that says they are the over the age of 18 to view and access your website content. Best of luck
Not sure why everyone is replying to this topic, It's OVER 4 years old, FOUR YEARS! /lock So where did you get this legal advice, this is for anyone wanting the answer to the question above. Why would have to make sure they are legal, he isn't making any videos, nor would he be required to hold the records on the actors since he is not the copyright holder of the content, THEY are required to keep it, and he doesn't have to provide anything to anyone since he wouldn't be doing anything except linking to it, or setting up a youtube site.
