    there are no "requirements": you only have to buy them in bulk from another reseller, that´s it.

    It´s mostly used for PayPal verification. But they are also good for free trial signups which need cc. Also for pages you have to pay for and have to pay every month but you only want one time (for one month). So they can´t charge your real credit card another time although you don´t want it. Also many people are afraid of online fraud and don´t wanna pay on online shops for example because they don´t want anyone to have their cc info. All this can´t happen with VCC´s because they are prepaid.
