I want to allow certian IPs to download files off my website... How?

    I want to allow certian IPs to download files off my website... How?

    Say i got a file: www.site.com/file.zip

    And i want to allow like 5-10 ips to download the file, and if anyone trys to access it, it doesnt work for him...

    How can i do that?

    I heard that its possible through .htaccess but i am not sure how that works...

    Also this is a shared hosting i am on.
